CHUDBOARD is built to keep to itself. The app runs on your PC, and most of what it does never leaves your computer. This page explains the few things that do.

The short version

• You can download and use CHUDBOARD without giving us any personal information.
• Your sounds, settings, recordings, and voice are processed locally on your PC and are not uploaded to us.
• We only collect personal data if you choose to create a community-library account or share a sound.
• We don't sell your data, and we don't run advertising or third-party tracking.

Information we collect

Nothing, just to use the app

Installing and using the soundboard and voice changer requires no account and sends us no personal information. The app checks our server for the current version and the community sound catalog; like any web request, that involves your device's IP address reaching our hosting provider, which is used only to deliver the response and protect against abuse.

CHUDBOARD account (optional)

If you create an account (needed for the community library and CHUDBOARD PRO), we store the username you choose, your email address, a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form), and whether you opted in to product emails. We use your email to send one-time verification codes at signup and for password recovery. This lets us credit your uploads, let you manage or remove them, secure your account, and — if you asked for it — send occasional updates.

CHUDBOARD PRO subscriptions

If you subscribe to CHUDBOARD PRO, checkout and payment are handled by our merchant of record, Polar. We never receive or store your card details. Polar tells us the status of your subscription (active, cancelled, period end) and the email used at checkout, which we link to your account so the app can unlock PRO features.

Sounds you upload

Sounds you choose to publish to the community library are stored on our servers and made publicly available to other CHUDBOARD users under your chosen display name. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share (see the Terms of Use).

Server logs

When you interact with the community library (browsing, uploading, downloading), our server may record technical information such as your IP address, timestamps, and download counts, to keep the service working and prevent abuse.

How we use it

• To operate the community library and attribute uploads to their creators.
• To let you sign in, verify your email, recover your password, and manage your account and content.
• To activate and maintain your CHUDBOARD PRO subscription.
• To protect the service from spam, abuse, and fraud.
• To send you product emails only if you opted in — you can opt out at any time. (Verification codes, password resets, and receipts are sent regardless, because the service doesn't work without them.)

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We rely on a small number of service providers to run CHUDBOARD:

• Cloudflare — hosts this website and the community library (storage, delivery, and security). Cloudflare processes request data such as IP addresses on our behalf.
• Polar — our merchant of record for CHUDBOARD PRO. Polar processes your payment details and billing information under its own privacy policy; we receive only subscription status and the checkout email.
• Resend — delivers our transactional email (verification codes, password resets) and, if you opted in, product updates. Resend processes your email address to deliver those messages.
• VB-Audio Software — CHUDBOARD includes VB-CABLE (VB-Audio's virtual audio driver) and installs it locally on your PC during setup. No personal data is sent to VB-Audio for this. VB-CABLE is donationware; see our 3rd-Party Software page.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account and any sounds you've uploaded, and you can withdraw email consent, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights over your personal data; we'll honour valid requests.

Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account record and your uploaded sounds from the library (routine server logs may persist for a short period for security).

Children

CHUDBOARD isn't directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in regions where that is the minimum age), and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.
